Pipefitter's Mates, Ayrshire

Our client is a long established operator in the engineering sector who require  Pipefitters Mates. The positions will initially be temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidates.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 5 years experience supporting pipefitting activities on site with experience covering a range of materials including Copper, Stainless Steel, and Carbon Steel
  • Be familiar with post welding cleaning operations on Stainless Steel and general polishing/finishing operations for Stainless Steel.
  • Some experience of water treatment and waste water treatment pipework would be an advantage
  • Ability to use Power and Hand Tools associated with the role
  • Certificates for IPAF, PASMA, Confined Spaces, and CSCS card any of the above are beneficial

Demonstrate experience in the working on the following:

  • Boilers 
  • Heat Exchanger systems
  • Understand engineering drawings
  • Threading and Bending
  • Bolt up and blinding/blanking
  • Cut, fit and prep pipe
  • Torqueing and Tensioning
  • Valve Assembly installation
  • Fabrication and installation of pipe supports and hangers

Only candidates who will be available to work away from home from time to time on a Monday to Friday basis will be considered.
